The Four Barrel Art Department is happy to announce a juried art exhibition based on the theme ‘Fluid’. We seek to fill our cafe gallery with artwork based around the fluidity of paints and inks, and any related interpretation of this concept.
Free flowing acrylic, ink, and resin are the materials that first come to mind, but artists may submit work made with any mediums that deal with fluidity, with the exception of free standing sculpture. We are primarily looking for nonrepresentational abstraction, but again are open to surprises. Artwork must be able to be hung on a wall, and we will choose work in a variety of sizes.
There is no entry fee, and a maximum of 5 images may be submitted per artist. Artists who do not live close enough to personally deliver artwork must be prepared to pay for shipping costs to and from Four Barrel Coffee in San Francisco, California. Venue: Four Barrel Coffee, 375 Valencia St. San Francisco CA USA 94103
Entry guidelines: Artists may submit up to 5 images to [email protected] Images should be of a high enough resolution to be evaluated online, but files should be small enough to be sent through email. Please include the title, medium used, and dimensions of the artwork, and the dimensions of the frame if applicable. Any questions about the submission process may be addressed to [email protected]
Submission deadline: July 26, 11:59pm Notification to artists: August 11 Artwork delivery dates: Sept 11-15 for shipped artwork, Sept 18-21 for local drop off. Exhibition dates: September 22 - November 9, 2017 Opening reception: Friday September 22, 6-8pm Sales breakdown: 80% to the artist, 20% to Four Barrel

By submitting images you are granting us permission to use the images for promotional purposes (postcards, posters, press release, etc.). A contract will be issued to accepted artists upon artwork selection with further details. The contract must be signed and returned by August 21st to assure participation in the show.
