Aaga Dinsa is the grandson of a coffee farmer in Kuri kebele, the village that remains at the center of the family's coffee exporting operation in Yirgacheffe. With 105 hectares in the village and 144 registered outgrowers, the Dinsa family gathers extremely high elevation cherry from several regions in Ethiopia, including Jimma, Guji and Wolega. The coffee is washed, fermented twice and meticulously dried on raised beds, resulting in a brilliantly clean cup with fresh strawberry, chamomile and fig leaf. Fekadu Aga holds organic certification, and Fair for Life certification, which contributes $0.12 per pound of exports, as well as 5% of company profits, to supporting the community through food, clothing, schooling, roads, and healthcare equipment and facilities.
