tasting notes: black cherry, blackberry, dried fruit sweetness
The Karagoto factory is just 5 km from Karatina town along the Nairobi-Nyeri highway in the Nyeri district. Farmers grow coffee on the foothills of Mt. Kenya and the Aberdare range slopes and deliver cherry to the Karagoto factory on the same day that it is harvested. Careful sorting, washing and drying on raised beds results in a sparkling, tannic coffee with black cherry, blackberry and dried fruit sweetness.
